About Us

The aims of the Association are to promote, foster, develop and advance the craft and to encourage the highest standards in machine knitting.

The Association also encourages interaction between country and city knitters and contact is maintained between them.

Machine Knitters Association South Australia was officially formed in September 1989, although knitters and machine knitting clubs have been around the state for many years. Membership is open to any person who is interested in machine knitting


Founding Members

Workshops
The Association also brings demonstrators from interstate and overseas to run day long workshops.
Weekend workshops are held annually in various parts of South Australia and these have proven very popular.

Activities
The committee meets on a regular basis to attend to the day to day running of the Association and to arrange workshops, camps, seminars and other matters requiring attention.

The annual subscription of $25 which is payable in September entitles members to

Four Newsletters per annum
Exchange of ideas and advice
Opportunity to participate in all Association activities at a reduced rate
Information on clubs, demonstrators, teachers etc

There is a joining fee of $5.
